I picked up a Fosgate Punch 200 (old school), Fosgate Punch 240, and two Fosgate HE 8" subs recently from a guy for $120, as well as two DSM links (not bad for what I paid). I just built a box and I know it's not exact and don't care a whole lot because I don't plan on keeping these subs, we had some leftover particle board so I slapped a 1.4 cf box together with a 3" round port about 7" deep. It huffs pretty bad, how can I get rid of this?? Add another port, shorten it up, etc. I tried finding some specs on the subs and got the volume size but not port size, my brother had some 3" laying around so I guessed and used that.
FWIW, I just wanted something cheap to start with in my DD for some added bass, I will eventually go with 12's once I sell these so before people bash me for using these low end subs, they're only temporary. But these little things don't do a bad job but I know in the future I'll eventually blow them up if I don't sell them.
