Yeah if you've tuned your box too high, keep sliding it back until you get the low end extension you want if you're not going for spl.Ok, so that would be more of a SPL worry if I was looking for every db possible?

Thats like my setup almost exactly but i have mine reconed by PSI and tuned to like 31 lol. killlzzz the lowsPlan to tune to 32hz, Fi BL 18"s for now, but not 100% sure yet. Regardless, I want to get it as close as possible.
You introduce phasing issues no matter what. It depends on your car what phasing issues are the worst. Usually with a hatch, it provides the LEAST cancellation provided that you find your sweet spot on distance from it. That is what we are looking to do... MINIMIZE cancellation. How many people can honestly explain why a ported enclosure loses output below tuning? What about port/ports up or forward.Subs up or forward?
Using deductive reasoning, is it because of cancellation? Lol, but explain. I'd love to know. Get into as much detail as possible. You introduce phasing issues no matter what. At first I was talking about subs up port back and then I was talking about in general. SOrry for the confusion. Are you talking ports rear subs up or just in general?
Can you, or someone, explain this? You introduce phasing issues no matter what. It depends on your car what phasing issues are the worst. I assume it does and doesn't. You may have a similar scenario in your trunk, but it might differ because you'd have to worry about height more than I would.Does the info spoken of in this thread only apply to hatches? Or to trunks as well?
