Port distance from rear hatch

Ok, so that would be more of a SPL worry if I was looking for every db possible?

Yeah if you've tuned your box too high, keep sliding it back until you get the low end extension you want if you're not going for spl.

Plan to tune to 32hz, Fi BL 18"s for now, but not 100% sure yet. Regardless, I want to get it as close as possible.

Thats like my setup almost exactly but i have mine reconed by PSI and tuned to like 31 lol. killlzzz the lows

You introduce phasing issues no matter what. It depends on your car what phasing issues are the worst. Usually with a hatch, it provides the LEAST cancellation provided that you find your sweet spot on distance from it. That is what we are looking to do... MINIMIZE cancellation. How many people can honestly explain why a ported enclosure loses output below tuning?

I assume it does and doesn't. You may have a similar scenario in your trunk, but it might differ because you'd have to worry about height more than I would.

I'm still kinda confused on why you want port back. Wouldnt that create more flex in vehicle causing a lower SPL reading?

mine in my Audi TT is about 2" from the back wall and it gets loud as hell....
