well i keep poppin fuses, i think its a 35A fuse? its the umm.. "U" shaped fuses its small and i have 8gauge wire.

all i can think of that i have a terrible ground, and that my problem.

going to change the ground today and make sure its a good one.

any other possible problems you guys can think of, dont be afraid to chime in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

How many watts are you trying to run?

if ur going to continue to run that kenwood,8104D right ? i would do at least a 4 awg run and get two 4awg to 8 awg reducers so that you wont have to worry about hot and ground wires touching beings how the connections on the amp are right next to each other,oh and the fuse is 40a

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif according to the sig he's running 4 gauge?

yeah its the kenwood8104D

and no, i have not upgraded to that RF 4gauge yet, i just got my subs 2 days agao, that will be soon.

but 500 watts isnt that much so i think its the bad ground, ill try using some 1/0 for the ground.

well, i have around 20ft of 1/0 i might just run today since school is canceled.

so then my power is 1/0 and then my ground will be 1/0

i got a 200A distro block+fuse laying here also, so well see how it goes.

as you state what you might do i would just go ahead and swap the wire out to your upgraded wire. though you may have a break in the line that is causing th efuse to pop. i.e. the power wire is grounding out somewhere. make sure that all connections are clean and no strands are sticking out of the ring terminals or fuse terminals. contact from the positive wire onto the ground will cause fuses to pop if you have a pinched wire or break in the line.

yeah i just took a look at my ground.

their was like 1 strand of copper touching the inside of the bolt, with no ring terminal at the end, and it was all corroded.

whats something good to clean metals? like corrosion and stuff, (any household items i might have)?
