My problem is my subs aren't hitting right anymore. My battery ended up being shot, so I replaced it under the hood. The battery was making my Alt work to hard because it wasn't holding a charge. My radio, amps, and subs would just cut on and off sporadically and make distorted noises sometimes. Also that caused the battery in back to have a low charge. I had the new batt and alt tested and they are good. After the new battery everything stayed on like normal. All the subs work but they have a funny sound to them and not much accuracy. This all started when the old battery started to go bad.

I'm trying to find out if I can test the amp's power at a 1 ohm load with a digital multimeter to see if it is putting out full power? The amp never went into protect. I will test the voltage of the second batt first. I think my subs might just be bad, but physically looking at them I see no flaws. I never charged the second batt after I put the new one in because I was told the new battery under the hood would get it back up to 12 volts. It was sitting at about 10 volts. I'm not using an isolator. I don't have dimming issues either. Maybe one of the voice coils is messed up and making the amp see a higher ohm load making the bass sound weaker, but it sounds more distorted than weak. What do you think my problem is?
