does this sound like a good idea? worth it? trying to put them behind the mids. i dont have money for those deflexy pads but i do have some polyfill left overs. thought i might try it since i seen some out of meade's civic so it should be okay.

should i expect mold build up or no?

I wouldn't do it. Specially if moisture was to get inside there. Why dont u try putting egg foam carton in there instead ?

Egg crate foam will work . You can also buy spray on mold ,mildew, and moisture protection for cheap . Concern I would have with the polyfill , is what's gonna keep it in place ? Seems like it would become a mess if it got damp, or anywhere near the window mechanism //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Most doors are pretty tightly sealed, I've had the panels off of my Ranger for months now and even after a HEAVY rainstorm there is no water in there.

But polyfil is bad, water can condense in it. Foam is differnt, it wicks water better and will eventually dry out. I am thinking of some foam myself in teh doors. My Dayton 7's have NO midbass at all currently //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

what kind of effect would this have if put on all sides, top, bottom, back of a sub enclosure? I've heard of the stuff before but I thought it was only used for mid bass type applications. In the info it suggests putting it speaker boxes so what kind of difference would it make in a ported box?

Unless you drive japanese pos like me. My door treatments involved a mig welder to fix factory short comings //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

My 87 Caddilac leaks so bad when it snows little snowdrifts form inside of the car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif And teh water rusted itself some drainage holes in the inside of the door //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

The entire bottom of both doors was not welded together. Once I pulled the door panels off , I could see daylight all the way across the bottom of both doors //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
