Firtyfwe here ngz
I have 2 AA chaos 15s ina a box w/ 2 chambers and 2 cu ft after driver displacement (sealed box) does polyfil really help 1 pound per cu ft?
the polyfill has to be loose when placed and not packed in, pack it in and you'll have a reverse effect. it will not interfer with the subs unless you put the polyfilly in the woofer. polyfill only has a matter of placement in ported enclosures. in a ported enclosure it must be away from the port and I put a little bit of contact cement on the wall I'm putting it on so it doesn't get blown out the port.I may try this in an install i did recently. What method do you guys use to keep it from interfering with the subs? Does it matter where you place the fill?
it makes the woofer think it's in a larger box. a staple gun will work but if it's a sealed box you don't need to do anything but put the polyfill in the box as there is no air to push the pollyfill out the box. atleast I hope not. you can get it from walmart or if you have old pillows that you don't use (not the ones with feathers in them). polyfill is basically pillow stuffing although you'll have some ppl say that the acoustic polyfill is different which it is, it's twice the price different. you can also get it from any fabric store.cool so it makes a noticeable difference would a staple gun help keep it attached to the walls?
also where can i buy it ^^?
yes. you'll be very surpised how much polyfill is 1lb. if I'm not mistaken Walmart sells only by 1lb and it's like $4.cool and 1 pound per cubic foot? so i need 4 pounds
