OK, I've been in and out of the car audio world for years now but I've never really taken the time to do things right. I usually just find someone who's got a setup for sale, buy it from them, install it, blow it, do it all over again. This time I want to do it the right way.
I've had the BIG 3 done already in my '01 Intrepid. I have box designs for both sealed and vented subwoofers. The enclosures will be around 3-3.5 cubes per sub in my trunk depending on sealed/vented. I am set on wanting TWO 15 " Subwoofers for sure unless I can get one 15 in a ported box to absolutely rock my world for less than $200.
I've been doing research for days and the list below is what I've narrowed it down to. I want to buy "New" but I don't want to spend an arm and a leg, maybe just an Arm. These subs and amp combos are pretty mid level in my opinion. The best system I ever had was Two 15" Eclipse Aluminum Subs with a Punch 800 Amp in a Sealed Box in the trunk of my Alero years ago. It made my eyes cross and hard to see straight. That's what I'm going for here. I mainly listen to Rap but occasionally change it up with Rock and Alternative. I've done 10's and 12's but I love 15's so I'm set on them. Below is a list of 15's I would purchase and some amp's that I think are a perfect match for them.
