Hey guys so my friends gonna be getting a hifonics Hercules 4 k amp to run his 2 sd-2 10" sub's and he was asking me if that's too much power. I said no cause you can get the voltages to around 44.7v output that should be 1000 watts RMS at 2 ohms. Am I right in saying this or should he look for something more within his limits ? I mean as long as its within that the amp should not even really have to work to run these sub's right? Thanks guys

Yep, at the amplifiers. I get the same 14.7 volt reading when they cutoff too.

Yes, they are painted. The cover is very easy to take off and repaint to whatever color of choice to match the install.
