on one hand it would be a good idea but on the other hand if you have a state like mine that likes to have only one dmv open within the capital of the state in a 50 mile radius. then its insane.

This question has come up a lot with me, and I have to say... living in the city of Pittsburgh has gotten me to the point of smoking weed left and right to control the amount of road rage i experience on a daily basis.
I live about a quarter mile to this one main street in my town called west liberty ave. Anyway, its about 5-10 blocks away. On the road there there is ONE traffic light, and 2 turns from stop signs.

Lets just say in that little bit of distance i encountered FOUR old drivers, 1 of which was going 25-30mph, braked suddenly in the middle of the road. then continued driving like nothing happened. the second driver decided he would just drift @ about 10 mph through a stop sign and make a turn with no signal....again, ***** was probably 90.

the third ******* decided it was time to switch lanes 3 times in the course of 2 city blocks. signaled once. the last peniscleaner i got stuck behind on a 1 lane road where he was going 25, then 35, then 20, then 15, then 30. on his ******y cell phone.

I truly believe a federal law should be enacted to toughen EVERY state's driver test to include a harder written test and driving test. It should be mandatory every 8 years to re-take the test to keep your drivers license active. I have to renew mine every 4 years and pay 35 dollars. **** that plan, make it every 8 years @ 75 bucks. Agree?

honestly... pittsburgh is one of the best cities i've driven in. that is compared to philly, detroit, atlanta (some of the worst).

I do agree on a retest though. I hate driving on liberty ave when the traffic lights aren't working. people don' realize you have to treat the dead signal as a stop sign.... that drives me nuts. I would also ban all cell phone use while in a car.
