I have heard them a few times, they have recently upgraded the cones and the surrounds, price not withstanding, opinions?????

i have heard them a bunch at circuit city...probably before they upgraded the cones & surrounds...but they sounded very nice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

also heard them at a local car audio store, this time they were actually in a car (acura integra) they sounded much better in a car...go figure. the guy had some 100w amp powering them, not sure what it was but it sounded realllllly clean. but my friend has infinity perfect comps in his car and it sounds better than the momos...atleast before they made upgrades.

i have played with the one in curcuit city and i thought that it sounded like ****.... i took a bass cd in and played and the ones in the room that impressed me the most were the kenwood 10s or the infinity. it might just be the way that it is hooked up?????///

i have heard the new ones but at circuit city they are in a bos that the back and top is a rolled plexy glass.

Im pretty sure the box with the rolled plexiglass is a custom box from polk, so they would sound pretty good in that.

MOMOs.....ive had bad experiences with polk (and polk dealers)

if you want SQ the momos sound DA*MN good, but one of my friends spent 500 for 2 momo 10s and 800 for a gennisis miniblock amplifier and hes hitting a 129 in a camaro, so that tells you how loud they get.

if you want sound quality, theyre great, if you want it to be even a little bit loud forget it.

i had 4 polk DX which are one step down from the MOMOs and FOUR of those were hitting 134. so theyre not loud AT ALL. but it did sound good.

I have had both the new ones and the old ones. Im not going to say too mcuh about the new ones because you need at least 500w on them before they start to perform like they are supposed to. They are the same thing and these subs can get LOUD when you push the wattage to them. They are INSANELY clean for SQ and man these subs slam. They only need .88 cu ft sealed too. I was heard for more than half a mile away going to my friends house. On my old alpine cda7875 i could only turn it up to vol 13 of 35 just because it was so loud, and I was scared to go any higher. 139.4 isnt bad at all for subs i bought for SQ alone. And thats what they are for...SQ. Everyone downs these subs and never heard them just because they are polk, but let me tell you....these subs can hold their own... and then some.

My friend had 2 12" momo's (old model) in an 88 olds. not sure of the power, but they did get real friggin loud!! i cant say anything about over all performance, but for 10 min drives i was very impressed. the only prob i think he had with them was when he took them out of the car (he was selling it) it turns out one of the spiders was torn pretty good. besides that i got nothing bad to say. hope this helps.
