These are similar configurations, both in the 6.75" size, for the rear deck of a 2001 BMW 330i sedan. ADS 335is Components are going in the front Door and base of the front Pillar.

Im keeping the stock OEM BMW Alpine made Business CD head unit, and replacing the amplifier with a 4 channel. Im looking to keep a stock look.

So my question is.....which of these are better for my situation? No subs....Im looking to get decent bass out of the rear deck speakers....6.75" rounds. Which has the better bass performance?

If you are familiar with both of these speakers or there little brothers the db650 and the D601P or the TS-D161R, I think they would give similar performance for this analysis, an overview and contrast and comparison would be greatly appreciated.

Im going with coax, because the BMW rear door tweeter location stinks. Id rather have them disperse off the rear window, and I dont want to mount them separately.

Best Regards

EV

PS-- Can I get away with a solid 30w per channel? What would you recommend?

I have the TS-D701Ps for my front channels...i personally love them. But I would give them alot more power than that...

Make sure you deaden correctly...also not sure how they would do in IB like that..

Well I was looking at an ADS Amp the old PQ10. But maybe an old Alphasonik at 4x50w or 4x75w? The head unit has no power, there is a really crappy amp in the back. BMW OEM stereo systems are very lame, even the Premium Harman & Kardon.

Keep in mind, Ill have no sub help. So the rear decks are where the bottom end has to come from. The 5.25" ADS in the front doors, just arent gonna do much.

Thanks for the quick replys. Im a newb, but not a bewb. LOL!

I was actually thinking of not putting any deadening material behind the woofer cones, so as to increase the cone movement and air volume behind them, for more bass.

if you put deadening material behind woofers installed in a rear deck, then that wouldn't be properly deadened. He meant deaden the shelf they mount on, not deaden the woofers.

Which hass the better low end, Pioneer or Polk? We wont call it bass.

Which is better 50w or 80w x 4? 100w seems excessive. Zed made in USA - Orion, HiFonics, Alphasonik, Precision Power, US Acoustics, Crunch....any more?

i made a box and they sounds Great and they Bang too.
