in another post somone said that the polk db6500s were not actually 6.5", i need some nice new speaks for my door, i need 6.5s should i get the 6.75"? or just use 6.5s? and are these good speakers? i dont want to spend much and i need some midbass, my infinities do nothing in midbass but too much in highs

the funny thing is that i used to have some old polk/momo comps (the very first ones) which were also supposed to be 6.5" and were actually like 6.75". i ended up dremeling my door a little to make them fit. maybe they don't know how to measure???

forgot to add that my momos had decent midbass, nothing great. if you want good midbass for cheap look at the re re's and orion p2. also, obviously the midbass will only be as good as the damping/install job on the doors.

the newer style boston acoustic pro60 have neo magnets and are very shallow, i believe less than 2 1/2". i have a set coming today cuz my **** oz matrix's and their 3.5" depth were just a tad too deep for my doors. i'll snap a pic once the ups man drops them off. the diamond hexs also have a fairly shallow mounting depth. Is there anyway you can use an mdf ring to space out the speakers??? I tried but the speaker would then hit my door panel....

edit: sorry, forgot about the budget concerns with my above suggestions.
