Polk Audio Momo Series Speakers

Does anyone have these, or heard them? How are they? Subs, component, coaxial, anything. A friend of mine is looking into them, and I couldn't venture an opinion without it being ignorant.

The sub is a little pricy for what it puts out, infinity would probably be a better choice if your friend wants SQ. Polks mids/hi's are pretty decent.

my polks fell apart lol granted this was 8 yrs ago but once a bad taste always a bad taste. they were "hi-end" speakers too with top of the line amps at the time too. sounded "ok" the new ones sound like boston accoustics but i must say id rather go boston than polk

These subs sound pretty nice and I have seen a couple of them where I live but they are about middle of the line.

What would they be comparable to? I realize they are pricey, as you pay for the "Momo" name, but he gets them quite cheap.

I havent heard them but the curious looking design had me for awhile I like their look and almost got a set so if you do reveiw us on them but i thought or think they are comparable to maybe type R's and W3's or perfects.

I have a set of the MOMO 6.5 inch components and they are super nice and REALLY clear at high volumes. the 6.5's are like subs they put out so much mid bass, and the tweeters are clear. the only draw back is that you pretty much have to listen to them at low volumes for 40 hours to break them in right, but other wise its a 40 hours worth waiting for.

I don't think that they are compairable to the W3 but they are probably kind of like the MTX 6000.

my buddy has 2 MOMO 12's and from what hes told me and what ive heard the MOMO sub is pretty musical, not really for pounding. plus last year when they came out with their new "look" their leads coming off of the wire jumper always snapped. i have seen tons of these things sent back to MOMO last year. but they changed something and now that doesn't happen.

ok the polk audio line is really good if you wanna spend the money on it. one of my friends that works with me runs all polk through his car and it is one of the cleanest sounding or SQ quality systems i have ever heard. the only set of speakers they make that i don't like are their new component's...they are good but for 4 bills like they cost go with something better.
