This thread has become so entertaining, im watchin now just to see if you really know him lollol whats ur sons name?!?!?! i probly know him.....he white or black?
yea...i know for sure wattage wise they can handle 1500 watts, but im not sure if its safe cuz subs are dc voltage and the wall is ac...im afraid thats what will hurt them...
yea...
you are 100% wrong.
subs actually arent 'a voltage'.
but just fyi, an amplifier uses a AC Voltage input music from your headunit on the rca input lines for a source. then it uses transistors in such a way, that the small 1~2 VDC musical input is applied to a large current DCV input. the small voltage manipulates the DCV to mimic ACV and that is what is sent to a speaker.
ac voltage on a graph would have a range from (for example) +10 to 0 to -10. but the large modified DCV that is controled by the input would have a range of 0 to 20.
so speakers recieve alternating current. its not real ACV but it acts exactally like it.
I have already told you dumbshit its a bad idea. Now being a ****ing retard.woah woah woah dude english please lolz but so is it a bad idea or ok idea?
well, what impedance are they wired to?what u mean 7200 watts....i was told wall socket = 1500 watts by like 20 peeps...
well, what impedance are they wired to?
Anything wired to 2 ohms @ a wall socket will see ~7200 watts before voltage drop.
Its ~1800 @ 8 ohms..
Two 15 l7's should be able to take a combined 7kw on a burp...
