Hifonics Bxi2006d amp, what sub/subs

Right now i have 2 12 kicker L7's in a small ported box...its made by nolte audio, they definately get loud and sound decent, but im looking for something what will be a little louder and maybe a little better sound quality, more SQL then anything....most people say that the L7's sound like shit, i dont think they sound too bad.

Here is what i was thinking of doing. Building a box for the 2 L7's but the max dimensions i have is 34Wx14.2Hx19.5D which i dont think is good enough for the L7's to get full potential.

Another thing i was thinking of doing was getting 1 12" sub in the RIGHT box and maybe it would be louder? or maybe 2 10's? or maybe even 3 8's (dont know if they would get nearly as loud as 2 12's). The only thing im worried about is i will lose alot of cone area

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks guys!

Your box specs are the exact same as mine for my monte carlo.. Sucks only being able to fit a small box into your trunk my honest opinion, Just keep what you have and be happy? Maybe sell the 2 L7's and go with a single 15 @ 3.5 cubes with 2000 watts @ 1 ohm, Thats really your only other option bro..

Thats what i was thinking, maybe a 15" Fi Q, in the right box for your car would sound awesome.

i was thinking about a 15, but the only way i would get a 15 to fit is to have the sub facing up and port facing back...i have 2 12 L7's now its loud, but im looking for something a little louder, i dont think i have nearly enough space to get the full potential out of the L7's...so i was thinking about moving to maybe 2 10's in the right size box, or 3 8's, or 1 single 12 that would hold 2000 rms, even though i think i would lose alot of cone area

Use the 15 in a wheel well enclosure.

I dont see what the problem is with the 15 facing up. If you want a 12 then maybe go with either a BTL or BL.

going for 2 12s to 1 15 won't give increase output... best bet is 2 12s... there are a few small box 12s out there but what you asking really isn't physically possible... you need to increase efficiency of the system and all the options suggested won't do so.. your next option is to increase input power, which then if you do so a single 15 IMO would be more ideal...

so you basically saying that its the loudest im going to get with the space i have, i dont have the right box to give the kickers there FULL POTENTIAL, so if i put a single 12 or 2 10's, or even 3 8's in he RIGHT BOX instead of a smaller the rec box, wouldnt it be louder? i dont think id have enough space for a 15 either
