I have an Alpine PDX 1.600 which i bought over a year ago. And starting couple months back, my amp starts going out and found out that the ground terminal broke and is not connecting to the board. If I wiggle the ground wire, and hold it, it turns back on but with the bumpy ride, it will get loose and go off again.

So my question is, is there a way to fix this?

I tried using zip tie to hold it in place but that didn't work.

Thanks,

Matt

My friend who installed my amp/sub does this for living and he tried to solder the terminal but he couldn't be able to. He also mention to me about soldering the wire directly to the board so I will go back to him and let him try that.

Clamp the wire onto the amp. ie put the amp on a piece of wood and have some sticking out where the terminals are. Then connect the wire as best as you can, and attach the wire to the board. An easy example would be using a staple gun, but that only works for like 20 gauge wire. So somehow either glue it on or just attach it firmly to the board and it should stay in place, even if the amp moves cause its attach together.

YEAH! I got it fixed!!! So my friend soldered the wire directly to the board and now it's working. I'm so glad because the music sounds soooo much better now with the bass! =)
