Plz Help a audio noob

Hey guys what up? I am completly new to car audio. I know absolutley nothing when it comes to amp ratings, rms, anything. I was looking at getting one of these subs, but I need to know how much power I would need to run it.

we need to know your budget and hte type of music you listen to since ported and sealed boxes take different power and if you want it loud or just maintain sq

First I would not recommend those subs. If you're not set on them, there are tons of people here that can guide you in the right direction. For the sub mentioned, you'll want an amp that would push around 200-300 watts rms at 4 ohms.

250 watts RMS at 4ohms, so find an amp that puts out 250 to 350watts RMS at 4ohms mono.

theres the pioneer premier models that were ment for spl but have some great sq on em and come at a great price. i dont have any experianse with those subs but i have the xls right now and they are decent

then i think either 1 12 or 1 10 sealed would be your friend, those pioneer premiers or alipine type r are nice subs i think that site you were looking on has em both. for sale see what you liek and dont like about em and we'll help you out more
