plywood box lolzzz

well i dont do what all of this forum does. i dont want numbers. i am not lookin to get anything with numbers. i listen to chopped and screwed music so its tuned super low so i can hit low *** notes.
What you said has nothing to do with what you quoted me about. What i said is your box is a piece of shit and youll get better output if you build it the right way. Either way you look at it, your box is built wrong. My subs play good all the way down to the low 20s and are tuned at 32 with a proper box. You have halfway decent subs but shitty install = shitty sound from them.

do ur subs sound like there struggling to hit the note. thats y i tuned mine so low so i know that i could hit the lowest notes that i put too it. yea you people can call my setup shit and hell it might be but for me it sounds good and around here it sounds good to all the people i show it off too.

and since my shit is soo wrong with this whole thread. someone be generous enough to design me a PROPER box if its possible... and i still have yet to understand or have someone explain to me what a proper box it so enlighten me and inform me of the steps to design this oh so intriguing thing...

Step one- Ditch the freaking OSB

Some times internal bracing can make up for inferior materials or too thin of wall thickness. But I dont think that was taken into consideration in this case.
it was i put a 1x1 across the whole top of the box and i took it out of the car and i am putting bracing in the insides now until i can get my money situation right.

1.Matches design goals, built around the car's tranfer function. Cars have alot of low end bass inherently, 23hz tuning is a bit excessive. In some cases witha low q sub, that can work in a smaller ported box, if your goal is a flat response, but that's a rare scenario. For most people looking for low audible bass, 30hz will suffice for tuning. Below that cabin gain usually gives you 20-30 free decibels anyway. Plus, most bass in music is above 30hz, heck, many instruments don't go below 40. Anyway, the real point on tuning is just that with accurate T/S paramerters, you can design a box to fit any goal, but rarely does a 23hz tuning maximize musical output, or lead to flat output in a car.

2.Box shouldn't flex. Subs boxes are built to control add damping to the subs movements. If the box is flexing when the sub moves, the airspace isnt' staying consistent and isn't pressurizing as it should. This adds more instability to a already chaotic system. Leaks reduce output, especially at higher output levels when your box begins to really leak.

3.Proper amount of port area. I explained this earlier in this thread. Once you decide how big you wan the box to be and what tuning you want to get the desired response, to keep that response as the volume increases, nothing can max out. If the port is too small it will stop contributing output and your frequency response will change. Your ports too small right now for 2-15's. At higher volume levels your not hitting the lows as well as you are at lower volume levels, compartively speaking of course. The woofers keep the getting louder, the port isn't. Both your port and your box are sabatoging your bass at higher volume levels right now.

Once you build a proper sized port you'll have less room for airspace. Your port will need to be tuned higher just due to space constraints. If you can fit it I'd go about 4.5cubes net with about 72sq inches of port, give or take a little bit. Tuning will probably end up around 30hz or so, just guessing on your trunk size. External space really dictates what you can build in a car, as far as making port size and volume work out properly
