Plug in problem.. WTF am i not getting...

90% of the time i try to watch a video from either on this forum or news or whatever it tells me i need to download the plug in and it takes me to the windows media player page... Then Ill download it AGAIN even tho i have media player real , etc.. Is there something in my settings i need to change so that when i wanna watch a vid it doesnt always tell me to Download the plug in???

I just noticed it now when i was trying to look at the glass walk on the grand canyon.. any help would be great..
