Plotting a curve for a new enclosure?

When using programs to plot a curve for a new inclosure do most of you go for a smooth roll off or do you tune for a little rise near the tuning frequency?

I personally like to tune for good low-end extension, if that creates any peaks up over 60hz or so I can just eq it out.

Thanks Beat. I have it flat down to around 40 on the box I am drawing up now. I figure with cabin gain in the SUV that it is goinig in it should sound good and have decent output as well.

Very difficult to predict what it's going to do in vehicle...computer modeling only goes so far.

Thanks guys, I know modeling only goes so far. Just curious where most of you guys start. It isn't going to be anything major anyway. Just throwing something together for a friends kid.
