plexi on a box tacky?

that would be cool.. you could do that and do a beauty panel that covers the screw holes and have a piece in the middle to make a divide in the plexi.. put some neon in there.. if you know anywhere that does etching that would look cool too.. Have you given any thought to lexan?

L.E.D.'s put in the right place would give a lot better aesthetic than a neon tube.

well the reason i need some space in the back is the amps are going in the floor flush where the factory jack goes so i need around 12-15" from the back to the box

**** I was gonna say seeing the new XXX's in plexi would be sick! It will still look sick but the 08 XXX would have looked way wicker the 05's are just gonna look like any other 12 spoke design sub

x2. i love the look of the new xxx's....just do a good job on the interior of the box and it'll look just fine

if you want, get some "rubberized spray" i got some, to cover my box and i really like it! it was like 6$ a can or soemthing, looks like bedliner.

Im sure your opinion is duly noted.
Personally, I prefer seeing a good install, no matter the driver, than I do the way too small enclosures everyone puts the new style XXX's in and then receives lackluster performance. Most 06+ XXX installs remind me of Jackhammer installs in this regard.

And anyone with knowledge on the subject will recognize a first gen XXX. It only looks like just another 12-spoke to noobs.
