Hi i have a 2 channel amp a renegade 550s its final output is 2x275 @ 2 ohms i want to run 6 speakers 4 6x5s and 2 tweeters i havent bought the speakers yet i wanted to know if i need 8 or 4 ohm i understand that i wont be getting full output becuase im splitting the channels but what ohm speakers do i need and how do i wire it

But how can i get 6 speakers on it i had 6 4 ohm speakers on it at one point but i dont know how it was wired and it sounded pretty good

A 6.5 component set is a pair of tweeters and a pair of 6.5s plus a proper crossover to split the signal properly. If it says 4 ohm set, its 4 ohms so takes all the guesswork out.

Like gary said, A 4 ohm 6.5 component set and a 4 ohm pair of coaxials. done. Thats 6 speakers total. 4 woofers two tweeters (not counting the tweeters on the coaxials)

But if i wire 6 4 ohm speakers on parallel it would be wired to 0.6 correct? I wanted a final ohm load @ 2 ohms
No the component set is 4 ohms.

so it'll be like wiring two 4 ohm speakers together. However its actually 6 total

This is the crossover. You wire the tweeter and the woofer to their terminals and you wire the speaker output from the amp to the amp + and -

its automatically a 4 ohm load due to the crossover. now you wire it parallel to the 4 ohm coaxials in the back you get 2 ohm? Capisce?

Ok im sorry i still dont understand isnt the formula for parallel the ohm load of the speakers divided by the number of speakers so 6 speakers ÷ 4 ohms = .06 ohms correct?

Omg u are slow. 2 people explained it to you already...

the component set(which is a tweeter.speaker.and crossover) is 4 ohm total. Then the coax speakers are 4ohm. 4 and 4 is 2ohm. Dont look at it like 6 speakers. Look at it like 2-4ohm ones bc the crossover makes the tweeter and speaker a 4ohm load

Ok thankyou i understand if i wanted to buy everything separate will any 4 ohm crossover work i wanted to get 4 pwx 6.5s and 2 ft1 tweets all 4 ohm so will any 4 ohm 2 way crossover work for that or is there something i should look for in the crossover

v

ur not looking for a crossover ur looking for a component set. a component set is a tweeter, speaker and crossover. if u wanna stay with that brand this is what u want. then jSymphony 6.5" Component Set - Crescendo Audioust buy 2 more speakers preferably coax

I had to create a new account but I bought the component set and wired everything up and I wired the rears in parallel with each other and it came out to be 4ohms even when I wired it all in parallel I got 4 ohm but if i wired the rears in series/parallel it came out to be 2 ohm but when i connected that to the amp I lost the left side but not the rears I can't figure this out at all how am I supposed to wire this to get 2 ohms you guys say its the same as running 4 speakers but 4 speakers wired in parallel wires down to 1 ohm
