Okay, I am very new at this....I know a lot about brands and what's good and what's not. I don't know nething about wiring besides the basic setup. I have two Kicker L7 12"'s with a 1600 W PowerAcoustik amp. For some reason I know they are not hitting their full capability. I have the amp all the way turned up, and my buddy who has 1 12" L5 is bumping twice as hard as mine. Please help, and explain what I need to upgrade, or what's wrong. Thanks

Thanks for the reply, but to tell you the truth I don't know what that means. I have the battery wire goin from the battery under the hood to the trunk, the remote wire and the cables goin from teh back of the stereo, and the ground from the trunk...please explain how to help

I just don't understand if they are both pumpin out 750 watts they should be maxin out with this 1600 W amp and I can tell just looking at them that they arent pushin enuff out

Power Acoustik Ov2-1600 2-channel Gothic Series Amplifier...That's my amp, but i watched that tutorial, and 1st, i don't have that tool. 2nd, i don't understand this stuff too much...i'm just really confused, cuz even when i bought these subs brand new they werent hittin hatd with this amp, and it shud max em out...my amp only has a bass boost, the bass level, HPF, and LPF on the amp, there's no other options i can adjust....please just give me anything that i can try..

If you are running a sealed box =

HPF - leave off

LPF - Around 90hz

Bass Boost - Off, or all the way down

Bass Level - this is where you have to set your gain. Trust me.

Same for ported, except the HPF. Set it in the 24-30hz area. It really depends on the tunning of the ported enclosure.

If you take the subs out, they will have the impedance printed on the magnet normally. D4, D2, S4, S2 Then you can check the wiring with the link I provided.

If you find this to be too difficult of a task. There are plenty of shops that will be willing to help you set everything.
