1/0 ga ground and 2ga power?

quick question: will it be fine to use a 1/0 ga wire for my amps ground while i use a 2 ga power wire size for the battery?

im short on 2ga wire and im thinking a bigger current flow for ground will always be better

As long as you can hold the current, there is no reason it will not work. Though some will argue that both are equally important wires, I have always placed more of my time making sure the ground is as good as possible since that is technically where the energy comes from. The positive is a "bait" wire for the electrons.
