i need help building a subwoofer enclosure for a 18 inch sub i want to use an aero port but not a round one a square one reason being is because i want to tune one port to about 40 or 45 htz so i can hit a higher db rating than tune one down to like 32 htz for daily listening and just remove them as i go to tournaments so my question to you guys is calculating the port length the same as if the box were going in to the port? just subtract woofer, brace and port displacement? but if the port is coming out what is the point of subtracting the port displacement so how would i calculate the length to tune the port? please help im so confused. by the way im getting a fi btl n3 the new series
i want to use a square port made of 3/4 mdf wood it makes it much easier for me if seen it done and it sound really good
