please help! when i first had the cassette deck last week it didnt have rca cables so i bought a speaker level converter thing and hooked it up to the HU then the wires from the converter into the R+ and R- screw down terminals on the amp, then from the amp i hooked the sub wires on top of the wires that were already in the R+ and R- terminals, connected the power wire from the amp to the + on battery, then i connected the rem. to the HU then i hooked up the ground and as soon as i was done hooking that up and turned the HU on, the amp started smoking so i hurried up and cut the power wire and d/c everything else, then the other day after i fryed the cassette HU (it wouldnt power on anymore and kept blowing fuses) i took it back and exchanged it for a cd player with rca's. i went out today and tried to hook the amp up but it doesnt have any power (the red light on top doesnt glow anymore) so i brought it inside and took it apart to find that there are black burn marks on the inside. the fuse isnt blown or anything and when it started smoking the fuse never blew. i was wondering if you guys think it is fixable, i tried to scrape the blackness off the (wire looking things that are soldered into the board) but i dunno if this help any, just wantin to know something before i go outside and see if she powers up again. thanks. and please someone give me some help.
