Plus, you already have the sony speakers. Might as well keep them as money is so tight right now.

Do you have anything you need out of a HU besides is playing cds? (usb support, aux support, mp3 ability, etc)

get amp for ur speakers if u dont have none. save ur money and get better speakers

Focus on a HU then. Don't worry about an amp or new speakers yet. Your going to need at least 100 bucks for a HU. If you can get one that fits your needs for that amount, look at the PG RSD 6.5's. Decent price (about 100 dollars if you can find them) and a hell of a good speaker.

Tons of people have them on here, me included.

If your really leaning towards panasonic, go for it. I'm not a big fan.

Plus the Pioneer can hook directly to your ipod.

I'm running a clarion right now and have had good luck (i have not heard the best of things with the none dvd versions) and I really like pioneer. Eclipse, nakimitchi (spelled wrong but I'm not looking it up right now), Alpine all really good.

Get a good HU and see how the sony's sound with that. If you hate the sony's look for better front speakers (just keep whatever in the back, I prefer none)
