I don't know for sure, but the SP4's are monsters, so I'd guess a bigger port is in order, and like they said, double baffle and bracing.

Yes, I designed it and have redone the calculations for double baffle and bracing is already accounted for. As far as the port, it is 12.17 sq in. Should the 4" port width be wider, is that what you are suggesting?

I'm pushing to go for the larger box, smaller 4.5" port of around 14" cu in per foot, and keeping the tuning lower. Will this be a good compromise? My trunk space is maxed out and I feel from the WinISD graph that the larger box will have a smoother curve as well as gain closer to 3DB.

How is it looking?

I have already tried adjusting port length and it starts eating up net box volume and takes a great deal more length for minor adjustments in tuning.

I'd never tune that low or use less than 15" port.

Seems that almost everyone running Sp4's are tuned very low, is that just personal preference?
