its only if your ps2 cant read certain discs and all you get is a 25 dollar check.... its easier to just contact them and they fix it for free and ship it back for free i had to do that
Mine had that there is lots of tutorials to fix this problem. It took me fifteen minutes and cost nothing to fix it. But maybe Ill try and get a check anyways. Thats pays for half a game right there. Hardest thing was sifting through the garbage on the net.
I had problems with mine when it first came out. It started to act up and not read disks about a year ago. I ended up taking it back to Best Buy and getting a brand new one for free.
I had a ps2 that had the problem. Listed it on EBAy (with the problem listed) and got $120 for it. I only had to cough up $80 to buy a brand new one then. It ran good for like 3 years so I wasn't too pissed. Just wear and tear to me. Nothing lasts forever.
