Playing music off of usb?

I have been looking on the internet on how to play my music through a flash drive on my head unit.

The head unit is a JVC Arsenal KD-AH79, the flash drive is SanDisk 8gig, and the music is off of itunes.

When I plug the flash drive into the deck is says CANNOT PLAY. Is this because the files are mp4? I just put all of the music into a folder on the flash drive

Any help is appreciated

Probably , my kenwood only plays mp3's, won't play mp4's.

You sure you looked? I googled your deck, clicked one link and found your answer...

"This versatile stereo will handle all your CDs and recordable discs, as well as discs or or thumb drives you've loaded with MP3 and WMA files"

MP4 files won't work with your deck. Did you even try to put an mp3 file on it and see if it worked?

probably the deck wont read mp4 files.

agreed. itunes music is not compatible with non-apple products.

you'll need to buy a media converter to convert your mp4 to mp3

Well you can use VLC media player but they only work on PCs. I absolutely will not use any Apple products because I hate the fact that everything of theirs are not compatible with anything else that are not Apple.

Mp4's work on my deck...
