Playing bass out of speakers

I have fiddled with everything in the HU, looked at all the settings and everything and cannot stop bass from being played threw the regular speakers! My subs arnt very powerul, so i need to turn the music up fairly loud for them to get bumping. Hopefully when i introduce 2'' more of cone and almost 3 times the power this will change.

What would the setting be called that i need to change? I got a pioneer Head Unit without sub controls...

Adjust the HPF(high pass filter) on you HU. Set it at either 80hz or 100hz, whichever works best for you.

Word. HP Filter, there should be a few choices, 63, 80, 100, 120 and 160 (IIRC)

If your Pioneer doesn't have the HP Filter, it must be an ancient model!

My dad's deck from a few years ago has an HP and it was the second least expensive Pioneer of that year. deh3800 (i think)

I used that deck for the longest time, my friend still uses it for 2 Massive CW10's.
