these speaker good for SPL or good for SQ ?

i want them in 6.5 or 8" for a 2 way passive setup

They supposedly sound good and can handle a fair amount of power. If you plan on using the 8" in a 2-way then I hope you have a tweeter that can cleanly cross at 2khz.

you can run a fullRange mids from TangBand, Fountek, Markaudio,Fostex,Vifa,Peerless,etc.....

to match up with most 8inch midbass or subs

I was looking at these because of price but was told they didnt have any midbass. It sounds like the guys using these are saying the opposite. If they in fact do have some kick and can play lower, I might bite the bullet on these. Do I have anything to worry about a wood driver in a door with moisture? I know some of the home and paper drivers have a hard time in car doors.

I don't think moisture would be a real big problem, I have mine and sealed pods so who's to say? the mid bass is really good it brought my bass up front so I don't know who would say they don't have any midrange because they do.
