hey guys!

as soons as I pop my deck in and turn my stereo up the slightest (not talking about booming loud, just enough so I can hear sound), my amplifier shuts off. when i bring my sit up to look at my voltage, it reads like 7.6. i have done the big three and have seen my volts as high as 14.3. it just started a couple of days ago, and i have had the same system in my car for about 9months now. has anyone had this sort of problem. also does anyone know where i could get an HO alt for a 2003 lancer es

7.6 is bad, Autozone or Advance Auto parts should be able to check your alternator for free to see if thats the problem

Check Ebay for Alternators If I recal Iraggi is a good brand

are you testing at the battery or amp when reading 7 volts?

if its at the amp check your grounds.

well actually im going by what it reads on my cap which is right next to my amp....should i be testing it elsewhere??

Remove the cap and try again? Get a DMM and check the voltage at your front battery with car off and then car on... let us know.
