Just replaced my toshiba lcd 46 inch with an lg 60 inch plasma, and just dam. 3,000,000 contrast and 600hertz refresh rate, it is a dam smexy tv. About a half inch bezel, and the color is amazing, a lot of adjustments for those that like to phuk with that kind of stuff.

If you want to get rid of the Toshiba I got a couple old school 300rms Pioneer impp's in a bandpass box for trade.

What exactly does 600hz do for you?

Rocking to 1080p projector at 110" in living room, and 55" LED in the bedroom. Neither have outstanding contrast or anything but they work well for me.

Frame refresh rate ...makes tv.look like real life ..it will blow ur mind

I remmember goin from 60 to 240 now 600 insane..not.huge on plasmas tho i like the leds

The majority of plasmas have 600hz, it's just the way they are.

Content is only created in 60hz...

edit: I own a tv with a higher refresh rate, but I turn it off because of the 90's soap opera effect it has.

Eh... something about artificial frames being inserted bugs me. I'd like it more if content was actually produced at that frame rate. It just looks odd to me.

I sold the toshiba to one of the guys that delivered the lg. I am thuroughly enjoying the upgrade.

Should do a calibration on it, will only get better. AVS forum usually has that info....

Plasma's are great for rich color/black detail but **** if you get any kind of light in the room, the glare is terrible.

Mine is pretty good because it's mounted high up on the wall so all the light coming in from the windows is too low, but my parents' tv is much lower and the glare is unbearable. They ended up draping blankets over their blinds to block more of the light.
