Ive finally figured out what Im going to do with this **** stereo.

Plans so far:

~Run a set of speaker wires for the mid-bass.

~Get another amp, or use the HiFonics I have laying around for temp.

~Build box and false floor.

~Wrap everything with vinyl.

So, what Im thinking about doing is running my front stage 3-way active, with tweets, mid-range and mid-bass. It was that or run passive with the tweet and mid-range, active with the mid-bass and sub.

I guess Ill have to run the sub using a line-out converter.

Equipment:

Processing: Alpine 9887

Tweets/Amp: CDT TW-25/TBD

Mid-Range/Amp: ID OEM/KX 250.2

Mid-Bass/Amp: ID OEM/KX 450.2

Sub/Amp: 15" 05 RE XXX/KX 2500.1

Wow your door panel is pretty much what I want to do with my Mustang door panels, err well with one ID OEM per side though. Only running a 5-ch right now. Can the 9887 go 4-way active??

No, I will be going 3-way active with the front stage, then controlling the low-pass for the sub with the sub amp.

Gotcha. Duhhh huh? LOL me too on the no 701 thingy...or extra amp/wiring for a dedicated midbass amp...or skills to glass in midranges anyway.

That is the good part however. Ive got tons of RCA's ran so Ill have enough. All I have to do is run another set of speaker wires and then take care of everything in the trunk.
