planet audio

Both of the amps listed are overrated but not by much. For the price you can get them for it's still a pretty good deal. The Hifonics I'm not to sure about since I've never used it but I've heard they are a little overrated too but still greats amps.

all of the amps i have seen and delt with including the entry level line of amps have been very well proformers.

all birth sheets i have seen showed right on or up to 20 watts over ratinigs.

my .02 cents is they are a good bang for your buck amp.

i have used many of there amps in over 5 years.

planet audio if you can get ahold of the big bang series for cheap. They bench their rated rms every time and come with a birthsheet saying so, not to mention i have had my bb1200.1 tested and put out 132? (?= some number i dont remember).

My old PA Vector D was pretty underrated according to the birthsheet. 1-ohm stable 1200wrms amp, birthed 1059w @ 2 ohms, 12.8V. IIRC, dB Don tested the Vector to be 0.4db louder than the Mmats D200HC. Can't remember the setup or electrical, as that was 8+ years ago.

Most other planet amps I see birth pretty close to rated power. Never see any real-world tests to back them up though.
