just picked up 2 sundown sa 15s and wanna run them the way the should be pounding. anyone have experience with both amps? pros and cons of each? or at least one? i heard audiopipes arent worth the trouble of picking up, and the pb is preatty cheap but i know how audio goes, you get what you pay for, i dont want a piece of **** amp... may just save a keep on the low for a cheap used saz-3000 to come up. unless these amps can get down on the sundowns

sa 12s are underated, but not that underated. keep it at 1k ea.

also, both amps are iffy. the big bang for the most part is overated power wise. the ap will do power, but needs alot of electricity and may be a little dirty power.

right now i have a vfl 100.1 im on fuvkin house arrest so i cant even hear them been lookin a vids on youtube of people who got like aq 1200s or saz 1200s and it doesnt like there getting pushed too well.. reading around people have them at .5 on saz 3500s ;p how underratted is the pa? is it dirty power like the ap 3000? i dont want ap because there dirty and its a flippin 2 channel. i planned on running mine at .5 with all the electrical the amp might need..

get u a decent 2k like an AQ or if u can find a good deal on a mb quart either onyx or discus 2k. hifonics isnt 2 bad either but i agree stay away from the 3k for 2 sa's

aq 2200? no thanks on anything maxxsonics ive had both and would much rather bang something good qualitiy, could i have the sa's rebuilt to handle more power or are they built the best they could be soft part wise?

AQ2200D Amplifier

i believe the discus amps werent maxxsonics. You can find the AQ2200 cheaper used and they are very good quality amps

i had a discus and its says maxxsonics right on the bottom lol there still good amps but im looking for something better. do you have experience with the aq 2200? is 1800 watts too 2200-2300 going to be a large difference?

i'd keep the VFL 100.1 and focus my attention and resources on the enclosure design and build...yea, a little more headroom would be nice...but you can achieve more gains with the box than just a doubling of power...but then we have not discussed how the 2 SA 15's are boxed.

one more question, why do you diss Maxxonics on a thread comparing AudioPipe and Planet Audio???...lol...makes none sense, especially when you just say Maxxsonics in general. LOL..They make some of the baddest amps around in the Titan, Colossus, Atlas, Samson, Zeus, Thor, Boltar, and even the new Brutus BRE line has some ****** buggers. Just because you choose not to take advantage of the flexibility a 2 ch amp has to offer, does not make it bad deal. If you want a New 2500 watt amp with good cleans power and good Dampening abilities at the load you want to drive one at, you better dig way deep into that pocket, bro.

i never ran 1 in my vehicle but i have set a few up and they are strong amps. IIRC they were from the same build house and as DD and they are super efficient. u shoudl be fine running those subs off that amp. there are a few people doing that with no issues as long as u set gains correctly and try not to clip them u will be fine

i was leaning more toward the lower line maxxsonics. im not really looking to spend 700+ on an amp lol 2 sa 15s really doesnt need a crazy amp. and the reason i dont like the 2 channel amp deal is because id like an amp that if i do decide to change setups i can run at any ohm. right now i have 2 different dual 15 ported boxes but im just waiting for my cash to be right to buy a new car then throw them in. i posted this just to compare the two amps, not to compare them to amps out of there class lol

Op maxxsonic would be better than either planet audio or audiopipe ( excluding apk)

I run 2 aq1200s, theyre great for the money. A saz 3k would kill em.

as others have said here ur enclosure is gonna make the biggest difference so u may wanna redo that before adding more power. however more power will certainly make a difference
