pissed at my junk system

To be running only 300w with a 150amp alternator, something is out of place. The best advice I can give would be to start checking over your car's electrical. Start by checking your fuses. Though it probably wont be but my car does some of the wierdest shit when 1 little accessory fuse goes out.

I have a 1999 Chevy Blazer 4 Dr. I have a Memphis PR-300.2 for my subs(memphis PR 15-104D) Which i assume is 300 watts peak power in to a 2 ohm stereo load, maybe 75w RMS/channel?.I also have a Memphis PR-150.2 running my front speakers at a 2 ohm load, maybe 40-45w RMS/channel (i assume that is peak power as above). I am getting real bad headlight dimming even after doing The Big Three with the same 4 gauge wire that i have running to my amps. I am wondering why i would have headlamp dimming at all with such a low power system?I have been told that Memphis Power Reference is the bottom of the barrel in car audio and i would be better off with entry level Kicker.

So i guess my real questions are why am i getting head light dimming with this stuff?

And did i just buy the worst stuff there is to offer on a limited budget? ($1000)

I also have Memphis power reference 6.5 coaxials in the front doors and power referemnce 4x6's in my dash.
Whoever told you that is a ****ing fool.Oh yeah, here's a pic for that person.

Two 15" memphis pr's (me) beating a guy with 2 15" l7's, properly ported with double the power.

i guess i will got out and get my alternator warrantied before the parts store closes for the night, other than that i have exhausted all other options and am at loss as to what to do

new battery doesnt mean sh!t, get it tested, i got a red top from Costco, thing was useless, took it back and got another that works flawless

im running 700+ watts off all stock except the red top, no high end alt, not big 3 upgrade etc

something is WAY off, maybe someone can recommend a QUALTY car audio shop near you that wont tell you that you have sh!t, which you dont...

i have tested the battery myself it is in perfect working order, i even swapped it with the Red top from my 88 fullsize chevy,i know it is good it ran my winch several times.

I am an auto tech have been for 12 years i know quite a bit about cars and such, but even after getting a different alternator in gettin this dimming.

What gets me is that im pretty positive that my PR 300.2 and the PR 150.2 are way overrated on power the specs on them from memphis' website are (keep in mind i have 2006 models)the 300.2 is rated at 250wrms x2 @2 ohms stereo (i assume that is 125 watts rms per channel?) the pr 150.2 is rated at 100w rms x2 @2 ohms (50 watts rms per channel?)am i wrong on my power figures, this system is really really loud to me.

it vibrates the crap out of my blazer and it will get loud enough to be uncomfortable and sounds very good doing it.

I have so many Questions that im worried you guys are gonna get tired of me.lol

Can any one verify the power specs on these amps for me as i do not fully understand the ratings, Thanks for taking the time to answer my newbie questions

o **** im a lot over what i though i had,I have each sub wired to 2 ohms and the amp is running two channel, and my door a dash speakers are also wired to 2 ohms
