If that's the case I wonder why they changed it from BT like the 9800... know what I'm saying?

I think it is because of the new IP-Bus System. Only the models that end with UB have the USB port.

The IB models no long need the big box, they just use and interface cable that cost $30. The UB models have a USB port that can control in iPod using the iPod's usb cable.
