Pioneer z120bt in-dash Navigation: G-Sensor error

I'm having some issues with my pioneer z120bt in-dash nav. For some reason, it thinks I'm off-roading or something & has me in the right general area, but doesn't pick up the roads I'm on. Then I got an error message that said "Direction of G Sensor is not correct. Power off the system & check installation. Then rebook & press OK." Currently, the sensor is sitting on the dash, but the cord is facing to the left. Does the sensor need to be facing front-to-back & could that be what is giving me all of these issue?

there should be something that tells you which way to have the sensor facing, im guessing the manual would be a good place to start.

I have no experience with car electronics. If it's the computer or TV, I'm fine, but car is a different animal. That's why I took it somewhere reputable & have had nothing but issues since. I will see if it's in the manual or if I even have it.

I've tried to load the installation guide from Pioneer's website...Is there anywhere else to find it or does anyone know the direction it needs to be installed?
