Pioneer x4700 noise issues, I've tried everything.

Hey guys, I've been having some issues with a static hiss sound and scratchy sound for some time. It wasn't there at one point but that was 2 head units ago and before I amped my comp set. I have an 03 Jeep Liberty with a x4700bs double din with Incriminator 6.5" comps on an Eclipse 4ch. I also have the tr-7 module for parking brake bypass. The Hu connections are soldered and covered with heatshrink, and grounded to the firewall. I've triple checked all of the connections and they're fine, but I still have the noise, which is primarily audible through the comp set.

My ride has a radio choke relay, and as soon as it clicks to Power on the HU the noise starts. If I turn the unit off the noise stops even the the Hu display is still on, and it's there whether the engine is running or if it's off. I've tried unplugging the rca's, tried 3 different amps, checked the grounds, and re routed the rca's and power wire with no change. Yesterday I tried the ts-t110 tweeters that are in my sail panel to see if maybe it was an issue with them, but after switching back to the IA tweeters I'm getting crackling on the driver's side at higher volumes. I've checked the gains, wiggled connections and everything else. Nothing I've done has changed it in any way. Besides bypassing the factory radio choke, I've tried everything that I know to do. The replay seems to coincide with the noise. At times when the Hu beeps it sounds scratchy, and when playing test tones to set gains the background noise is even worse. Relay clicks on, radio powers up and noise starts. Relay clicks off, and the noise stops. I've talked to other people with the same Hu who say theirs is noise free, and I've talked to other liberty owners with various model pioneer(and other brand) hu's who don't have the problem. Anyone have any input on anything I could try? I don't think it's the Hu since my old alpine did it too, but at some point between me buying the Jeep and now, the noise wasn't there.

I finally figured out what it was. Ended up being a combination of the PAC Tr-7 and the flush mount USB I was using.

Man..What a Find!! Who would ever had thought..Deff something to remember..Thanks for sharing with us..Great update!!

I spent tons of time and swapped out perfectly good equipment trying to get rid of the noise. I was about to run a wire from the HU to the battery and saw the connector was halfway unplugged for the tr-7. Pulled it and the piece that keeps the connector clipped in has broken off. Plugged it back and superglued the connector plugged in, and there's no more noise. The USB extension had a nicked wire and was rubbing on a bracket. Sounds so much better now without the noise and crackling.
