Pioneer vs. SS?

I am now debating whether to get either 2 SS RL-P 12" or 2 Pioneer Premier TS 3004SPL. I really wanna get the RL-P but cost is twice as much as Pioneer. I was never really to fond of Pioneer but I wanna know people's opinions on the particular sub from Pioneer and if its worth buying over the RL-P. I'm into SQ subs but I also want the next sub(s) I purchase to be loud also. Thanks

rl-p's are hard to pass up. sq is gonna be great and the output is pretty good. rl-p's go for around $350 shipped for a pair on the forums

The all around better choice would be the RL-P's but if your on a budget the pioneers are great subs for the price and get very loud, not very sq oriented though.

RL-Ps will have it in SQ definately. The pioneer will have more output. This is all negligent if the install is crap though.

if you want SQ RL-p is the way to go, if u want SPL the 3004spl is the way to go. If money is not a problem get the RL-ps if money is a problem get the pioneers. From owning both Pioneer subs and my current Sound Splinter, I would say go with the RL-p. It's a hell of a musical sub...very smooth and never misses a beat. It can get fairly loud too when fed sufficient power in the proper enclosure.

The standard pioneer subs aren't very good at all. The SS will walk all over it.
