Have a pair of these 6 x 8's in the front doors of my ford van and they sound **** good for coaxials, the only downside to these speakers is the 45Wrms max rating, for most people it's probably just fine but the 4-channel portion of my 5-channel amp kicks out 75Wrms per channel @ 4ohms. I'm pushing these speakers well beyond their limits and eventually they will fail but they are power hungry little monsters and the more power you give them the better they sound, i think Pioneer's 45Wrms max power rating is a bit conservative to be perfectly honest with you. The mid-bass is tight and the tweeters are soft and musical but until you hit em with some real power you won't hear their true potential, you need more than just a head-unit to hear these speakers the way Pioneer intended them to be heard..
I give them 5 stars ***** for what they are, low cost entry level coaxials that will take a beating and come back for more.
The sooner they fail the sooner i can justify hitting the purchase button for MB Quart's QS216 series 6.5" component set.
Dear Pioneer's, hurry up and fail, please !!
