hello everyone.. Well i recently purchased the Pioneer TS-W306C subwoofer, I would like to stay sealed but i really do want the low bass notes so i was thinking maybe a big sealed enclosure. The reason i don't want to port is because i really don't like the boomy noise it gives..

Well i listn to rap and really want the low bass notes so any help would be appreciated..

Here are the T/S Parimiters for the sub:

Revc- 3.0

Levc- 1.98

FS (hz)- 32.6

Qms- 10.82

Qes- 0.43

Qts- 0.42

Vas (cuft)- 1.964

Rms (N.S/m)- 2.592

Mms (g)- 146.11

Xmax (mm)- 8.7

I have 2 of these subs and have built many different boxes for them trying to get them to their full potential. If you want to stay sealed give them 1.75 cu ft^3 NET. i know this from trail and error however its all install dependent. I was throwing 400 rms per sub with a hifonics tx1505d, i messed both of mine up so i wouldn't recommend giving them any more than 400

Your subs will probably play lower sealed than ported, unless you tune at 24hz or something. The lower end of the musical spectrum (few songs drop below 30hz) will be louder ported though, since most "SQL" boxes are tuned at low 30's. So they peak right at the point where most music drops off.

My brother have 3 306c's sealed in 4cubes net and they sound great and get very loud off 200watts each... but i would go ported though...

I have been palying with pioneer subs for a while.

I've bass raced and burped with three 305s (basically same sub, just one model older) and a colossus (giving them 1000+ rms) , and daily driven giving them about 700rms for about a year. ZERO ISSUES! For a single set up, 2.5 net tuned low sounded great. I did it and loved the low bass that $40 sub put out. Sealed, shoot for 1.75-2 cubes .

I agree these are some badass subs for $40 bucks a piece, probably the best on the marked for that price. But if you want the low notes, do want SubbinNcali said and put them in at least a 1.75 cubes. I have mine in two 1 cu ft sealed boxes and they do struggle hitting the low notes.

Okay Thanks for all the suggestions, right now i do have the sub ported but i must admit is does sound pretty bad ( almost as if the sub can't handle it) right now there in a 2.0 cuft ported at 30HZ. I will do what you guy's suggest and try both, going 2.5 Ported or also going 1.75cuft sealed..

Thanks again for the suggestion and replies.
