Pioneer to Kenwood or No?

Ive had some nice pioneers for years and i love em because of their sound and looks and ease of use. Ive seen all the other nice h/u's out there and the only other one that catches my eye is the Kenwood line of h/u's. If i was to go from a p880prs or a 780mp to the Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X990 would I have better sound? Would it be the same or worse? Any help is appreciated.

never used kenwood myself, my buddy had one (don't know model #) but it was nice. Im a pioneer man though

Had a pioneer for about 2 years (before it was stole) I loved it. I would definately do Pioneer

I couldn't say which would sound "better" but I would say they probably sound "different". It just depends on which sounds better to you. I don't really think you'd notice a huge difference going from high end Premier to high end Excelon. The difference would be small and not worth ditching your Pioneer.

i like the sq on kenwoods more but pioneers look alot better and are alot easier to use and have more functions

Stick with the Pioneer. Aside from the 8600/860 and 9600/960 mishap Pioneer seems to have alot lesser comeback rate for defects.
