Pioneer Subs or other subs?

I have been debating on subs to use and i am 90% leading towards the pioneer premier i am trying to get 6 12's..... I'd like to get my hands on the 5000spl but i dunno yet. Does anyone have them for sale, besides ebay and pioneer to buy them? Any other suggestions?

Have a buddy with a 12" pioneer in his boat. Absolutely amazed me. Loud as hell with pretty decent sound.

Think onlinecarstereo.com sells them.

if you want to use the 5000spl, dont try and run 6 of them. youll be wasting a lot of money trying to get all of those loud. just use one or two with a lot of wattage per sub and just have a super sub system. just because they are loud doesnt mean theyll be loud with like 1,000 watts. id get two and give them each 3k.

I doubt it. My buddy had a 18" Stroker and it killed. Just make sure you put the right power to them and give them enough power

You had the 15's in 2.5 cubes a piece, did you not?

With single 4" aeroports?

Tuned to 40hz?

Those speakers will not only fail to operate to anywhere near their full potential installed like that, but will actually DAMAGE themselves in that small an enclosure.

I don't understand how you can keep making these absurd threads, and honestly expecting sincere well-thought responses.

You make threads asking whether or not equipment is any good that you've already purchased, and when nobody responds to the thread, you immediately post up a classified and try to dump it on someone else for more than you ever paid for it.

Why don't you chill the **** out with this incessant circle of impulse purchases and buyers' remorse driven pawn-offs, and give the equipment you already own a half way decent install.

And if you absolutely INSIST on throwing money at your crappy system and driving yourself apeshit around in circles looking for a system that's going to install itself, hit 20hz, 194dB, and look show quality, then you're probably asking the wrong group of people, because i don't know anyone on this board who has a system that actually sounds the way they initially wanted it to without some actual research, and a whole hell of a lot of money, hard work, or both.

understandable but yes i did have that set up and but for like a day... everything your saying is right but i didn't run the subs after i took them out of the 28 cubic ft box i had them in i am just trying to see who used these subs and their opinion... i just want use of my back seat now.... btw why are you even stressing this/??? didn't your mother ever tell you "if you don't have nothing nice to say don't say it at all"?
