Pioneer Subs any good?

yeah i know the Fi's will perform great but this is my first set of subs ive ever bought so i dont want to go overboard with all top of the line stuff. I just dont want to buy a piece of crap.
3000SPL's are far from "crap." For just 100 bucks, they're some of the better drivers around IMO.

If this is your first system ever, you will be impressed with them. Just keep in mind that they are SPL oriented and sound absolutely terrible in sealed boxes. Ported is a must for these drivers. Mid to High 30's tuning makes them sound decent as well.

Pioneer makes great products, and for the price of the premiers 3000, you can't beat.

Friend of mine has 1 12" in a ported enclosure.

Great stuff

If you think pioneer is crap.... boy they musta dropped you on your head as a child....

dude, don't get a pioneer sub. Like they say " you get what you pay for for." They are not even rated correctly. I wouldn't want to show off a pair of pioneers in my trunk to be honest with you.
It's dumb *** kids like you that are ruining the business for new people trying to get something good and on a budget. Yes, let him go out and get in debt to run good equipment.

Also I have sigs turned off and ava's, but seen someone post you had type R's in your avartar. So how can you sit there and talk ish when the Pioneer SPL 2000/3000's are just as good if not better. Hell my buddy has two of the d4 3000's I believe and a 2000rms Mmats amp and doing close to 150dbs off the new TL in an Envoy. SO............

I am looking at pioneer premier subs. Its my first time buying subs and im not going crazy on these I just want something that has decent sq and hits hard and loud for a decent price. are these worth it?
specifically im looking at 2 of these

Pioneer Premier TS-W3001D2

Those subs should be good enough.

I will never buy a pioneer sub again. Had one that come it my car and blew it in a few months replaced it with the newer version of same sub it didnt last much longer. Each one was rated at 500rms and i was running them off of a memhis 500d. Then replace the pioneer with a boston g5 rated at 450rms and have been using it for the past 2 years without a problem. Pioneer subs seem to be overated in the power handeling.

The cause of almost all blown subs is user error. Or sometimes intent. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

If you're using the subs that I think you are, they can take their power rating and then some if used correctly. Great low-end subs.

User error.

Pioneer subs are the only ones ive ever blown Ive run several different mtx subs of similar power handling and never had a problem with those. Ive also got a set of alpine type e's in a 78 camaro and have rn them hard with no problems at all. And i have used the boston that replaced the pioneers twice as hard and it has never given me any problems.

Have you benched these subs? You blew one of these under 1000rms? I own them and they take what you give them. Great budget subs. I wouldn't run anything under these
