Pioneer Subs any good?

I am looking at pioneer premier subs. Its my first time buying subs and im not going crazy on these I just want something that has decent sq and hits hard and loud for a decent price. are these worth it?

I've never heard that sub specifically but every pioneer I've heard was garbage. It was mostly lower end stuff so it was to be expected but idk, there's better subs out there for that price.

I got the d4s of those ones you are looking at. never had a problem with them. they did what I needed them to do. I never pushed mine hard though. gave them maybe 5-600 watts each. Everybody has them, go listen to them then go get the FI's

Take it from somebody who has some, not somebody that has heard them for like 20 minutes with his heart set on a Jl or some shit.

dude, don't get a pioneer sub. Like they say " you get what you pay for for." They are not even rated correctly. I wouldn't want to show off a pair of pioneers in my trunk to be honest with you.

look at rms wattage only when buying an amp. Get one that is similiar to your subs rms output.

Those Premiers are great budget subs. I have a pair of the 2000SPL's. They get pretty loud and don't sound too bad doing it. Not to mention they can take tons of power. I'd personally rate them on the same level as the Type R.

I'm sure you'll be happy with the Fi's though.

yeah i know the Fi's will perform great but this is my first set of subs ive ever bought so i dont want to go overboard with all top of the line stuff. I just dont want to buy a piece of crap.

Pioneer Premiers are decent subs for the money. They will take RMS power rating just fine. From what everyone's said about the 3000SPL's, they get pretty loud off 1k.
