I was just wondering if this sub would run sufficiently with 400 watts RMS, I currently have 2 TS-W305DVC's ran with 400RMS which is the nominal for them and they SLAM!!!!!!! I was just wondering if this would suffice for these subs ran in the same enclosure as my other subs are currently in. Also does anyone have 2 of these subs and how do they sound in a ported enclosure?

Thanks for ANY input!!!!

i know there is someone on this forums thats knows his stuff about pioneer...... myself i dont see a problem running them with that much power.. they wont perform to their fullest.. but you can never underpower a sub...... you might be better off to run one of the subs so it gets more power

just my .02

Yeah i have 2 of the same amps in my car running my subs and im sure they put out way more than 400 i wanna get them bench tested but i was just curious as to get the 3002's instead since i can run each sub at 1 ohm being that they are dual 2 ohm subs that way theyll get 800+ watts but im still not sure yet my subs i have now work prefect!!

Thanks for the input tho!

They can support more vent area than the 305's can and I'd highly recommend that you go up in vent size. If you want to really make them get off, jump the port area to 16square inches per net cube. The TS-W 3004 can certainly work with that much vent and not fall on its @ss and flop around. If you want to tune it around 40, make the vent 16" long. Lower, just extend the port.
